Chief Financial Officer - Data Center
Job Description:
About
Our client is a privately held Indonesian data-center company with one operating data center and a pipeline of land-bank sites earmarked for future development. We are entering an ambitious growth phase — brownfield expansion, customer fit-outs, greenfield development and, over time, potential corporate actions such as debt financing, joint ventures, M&A or capital-market readiness. We benchmark our financial discipline against leading global operators while staying lean, hands-on and proportionate to our stage.
The Role
We are looking for a CFO to serve as the executive owner of our client financial strategy, capital structure, liquidity, funding, accounting, tax, revenue assurance and financial risk management. This role goes well beyond statutory accounting: you will convert operatinBitg performance, customer demand and land-bank opportunities into a financially sustainable growth plan — deploying capital with discipline, minimizing unnecessary equity consumption and protecting long-term shareholder value. You will understand the economics of MW deployment, customer contracts, power pass-through, project CAPEX, structured financing, revenue commencement and enterprise valuation — and build the institutional readiness for future capital transactions before they become urgent.
What You Will Do
- Financial strategy & performance — Own the annual financial plan and rolling 3–5 year outlook; deliver decision-quality monthly reporting on revenue, EBITDA, cash, CAPEX and balance sheet.
- Capital allocation — Govern investment decisions across expansion, fit-outs and land-bank development —requiring NPV/IRR/ROIC and scenario analysis before commitment, and running post-investment reviews.
- Treasury, funding & liquidity — Manage cash, banking relationships, debt facilities, covenant compliance and a 12–36 month funding plan; structure the most efficient capital stack for each growth initiative.
- Revenue assurance — Ensure accurate, on-time customer billing from the contractual trigger; control credit, collections, deposits and power pass-through; eliminate revenue leakage.
- Accounting, tax & audit — Deliver a reliable month-end close, statutory reporting, tax filings and clean audits with transaction-ready records.
- Commercial & cost governance — Provide financial control over tendering, contracts, payments and variation orders; monitor power costs, PUE exposure and utility economics with Operations.
- Strategic finance & corporate actions — Lead valuation, financial modelling and readiness for potential IPO, bond issuance, M&A, JV or other capital transactions, including data-room and diligence preparation.
What You Bring
- Proven senior finance leadership in capital-intensive infrastructure — data centers, telecom, utilities, real estate or comparable sectors — with comfort operating hands-on in a lean organization while building scalable processes.
- Advanced corporate finance capability: budgeting, FP&A, valuation, project finance, debt and treasury, plus working knowledge of bonds, equity capital markets and M&A execution.
- Fluency in data-center economics: MW capacity, utilization ramp, power economics, CAPEX/MW and project-to-revenue conversion (or the demonstrated ability to master them quickly).
- Strong IFRS/PSAK, statutory reporting, audit and Indonesian tax governance capability.
- Commercial edge — able to challenge pricing, payment terms, procurement, claims and customer/vendor credit risk.
- Clear, decision-oriented communication with Boards, shareholders, lenders and investors — separating facts, assumptions, valuation, risks and recommendations.
- Uncompromising fiduciary integrity, independence and willingness to escalate uncomfortable financial issues.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field; professional qualification (CPA/CA/CFA or equivalent) preferred.
How Success Is Measured
- Performance is assessed against a weighted KPI scorecard covering financial performance, capital allocation and
- project-finance governance, treasury and funding, revenue assurance, statutory compliance, internal controls,
- strategic finance and team leadership. Integrity, liquidity, compliance and authority controls are non-negotiable
- gate conditions — strong financial results never offset a breach of financial stewardship.
